Maintaning your Concrete Imprint !

The beauty of decorative concrete – it’s mantenance is minimal. It does require cleaning, washing and resealing to extend its life and eye appeal for years into the future. Just like waxing a car, reseal our concrete imprint with our Sealer Clear and the color will be as vibrant as the day it was installed. Routine maintenance is fairly straightforward. No. 1 priority is to make sure the surface is clean and dry before it is resealed. Concrete imprint can be cleaned with water and a mild cleaner. Most situations require only the cleaning of the surface and application of the new Sealer Clear.

The frequency of maintenance will depend on how high a traffic area to cars, foot traffic, water,
and any chemicals the concrete is exposed to.

Conditions Maintenance Period

No traffic 24 months – 36 months
Foot traffic 12 months – 24 months
Vehicle traffic 6 months – 12 months

Sealer can also be used for darkening the concrete. The effect is called color saturation and it will remains as long as the seal coat is maintained. If the decorative project seems to have ‘lost’ its color, a new coat of pigmented sealer will likely restore the beautiful rich color. This pigmented sealer is translucent and will act to glaze over the original color. The sealer will create uniformity of color and minimize highlights or variations in the color. Always work with sample first to approve the effect.

 Repairing damaged concrete
In the event, a repair is required to a damaged concrete imprint, cut approximately 50mm accordance to the shape of mould to the area that require a repair work.  Refill with concrete mix and follow the concrete imprint installation method. However, the new concrete imprint colour may differ to the old one.
